On Tuesday the 4th of September Rm 11 went on a trip along with Rm 12 and 13. We all got to explore and see many things. There were a whole lot of different types of boats to learn about. It was interesting to learn about the history of the sea in New Zealand. At 12 the bell rang and shot a cannon and there was a loud bang. Overall we all had a good time and enjoyed ourselves.
This blog is a record of my learning from Glen Taylor School in Auckland, NZ through to Tamaki College.

Poetry
Last week I attended a poetry workshop with a couple of other students. We learnt about how to make a great poem and what are some of the needs to have a great poem. Here is one of the poems that I have worked on.
My lord
He is mighty, he is strong
He is powerful, he is great
He is glorious, he is victorious
And he could tear down this whole place
He sacrificed his life to save our lives.
He created a place called heaven
He has a son called jesus who is loving
He is always watching over us as we walk on earth
He is an amazing almighty person
He has showed us what love really is
He helped us through all of our rough times
He is the greatest
He is the man that is high above us
We see all his creations all around us through nature animals and us
And once our time is up on earth
Then we shall go and join him

Room 11 measurement
For the past couple of weeks we have been working on measurement with our groups. We have been designated different parts of the body for us to measure. My group got designated to measure everyone's arms we would then proceed to go around the class taking everyone's measurement and comparing them. We would measure from the shoulder to their wrist. Here are the results.

Fill a bucket!
Today we learnt about how to fill a bucket. We all have our own bucket that is always with us where every we go. When someone makes you smile they fill not only your bucket but also theirs as well but when someone says something negative towards it empty's your bucket. So think have you filled someones bucket today?.
